Is-sinjal għal MAGĦMUDIJA isir biż-żewġ idejn. Id waħda titqiegħed fil-forma ta’ 5 milwi, nofsha mimduda bil-pala tħares ’il fuq qisha qed iżżomm xi tarbija fuq id-driegħ. L-id l-oħra titqiegħed bil-pala ’l fuq ukoll bil-forma ta’ 5 milwi kemm kemm, qisu ntrefa’ ftit ilma u l-id tinqaleb ħdejn l-ispalla l-oħra bħallikieku l-ilma li nġabar qed jitferra’ fuq ras it-tarbija.
The sign for BAPTISM is made with both hands. One hand takes the shape of bent 5 and is placed half lying with the palm facing upwards as though a child is being held on the arm. The other hand takes the shape of slightly bent 5 and is placed, palm up, as though holding some water. The hand turns over near the other shoulder as though the water is poured over the child’s head.
