Hemm tlett sinjali differenti għal MERĦLA. L-ewwel sinjal għandu żewġ partijiet. (i) L-ewwel isir is-sinjal għal NAGĦĠA b’id li tieħu l-forma ta’ 1 bil-pala tal-id tħares lejn il-ġenb tar-ras u bil-werrej idur f’ċirku maġenb ir-ras fl-għoli tax-xagħar u jibqa’ nieżel waqt li jdur. (ii) Imbagħad, iż-żewġ idejn jieħdu l-forma ta’ 5 bil-swaba’ mifrudin fuq quddiem u jersqu f’linja ’l quddiem, ikkurvata l-ewwel ’il fuq imbagħad ’l isfel waqt li jimxu iktar ’il quddiem. It-tieni sinjal għandu żewġ partijiet. (i) L-ewwel isir is-sinjal għal ĦAFNA. Id waħda tieħu l-forma ta’ 5 bis-saba’ l-kbir mitwi taħt u bil-pala tħares ’l isfel. Is-swaba jinżlu u jitilgħu malajr xi darbtejn. (ii) Imbagħad, iż-żewġ idejn jieħdu l-forma ta’ 1 bil-pala tħares ’l isfel u l-werrejja iduru ftit fil-ġnub tar-ras. It-tielet sinjal ukoll għandu żewġ partijiet. (i) L-ewwel l-idejn jieħdu l-forma ta’ 5 laxka bis-swaba’ apparti u jimxu ħdejn xulxin quddiem bis-swaba’ jperpru minn ġenb għall-ieħor. (ii) Imbagħad issir it-tieni parti tat-tieni sinjal.
There are three different signs for FLOCK. The first consists of two parts. (i) First the sign for SHEEP is made with one hand that takes the shape for 1 with palm facing the side of the head and the index finger making a circular movement around the side of the head as it moves downwards. (ii) Then both hands take the shape of 5 with fingers apart at the front. The hands move in a curved line at the front, first upwards then downwards as they move further front. The second sign has two parts. (i) First the sign for MANY is made. One hand takes the shape of 5 with the thumb folded under and the palm facing downwards. The fingers move down and up quickly twice or more. (ii) Then both hands take the shape of 1 with palms facing downwards and the index fingers rotate a little at the sides of the head. The third sign also has two parts. (i) First the hands take the shape of loose 5 with fingers apart. The hands move alongside each other at the front with the fingers fluttering from one side to the other. (ii) Then the second part of the second sign is made.
