Hemm żewġ sinjali għal MIELAĦ. L-ewwel sinjal għandu żewġ partijiet. (i) L-ewwel isir is-sinjal għal SALLIERA. Dan isir b’id waħda fil-forma ta’ 5 ikkurvata bil-pala tħares ’il barra u jitheżżeż xi tlett darbiet. (ii) Imbagħad, l-id tinbidel fil-forma ta’ 1 u l-werrej imiss ix-xoffa ta’ taħt malajr u jibqa’ sejjer lejn il-ġenb waqt li x-xufftejn jitkemmxu ftit. It-tieni sinjal juża id waħda fil-forma ta’ 1. Il-werrej imiss ix-xoffa ta’ taħt waqt li l-wiċċ jitqarras. L-id tibqa’ nieżla lejn il-ġenb waqt li tinfetaħ fil-forma ta’ 5 bis-swaba’ mifrudin.
There are two signs for SALTY. The first sign has two parts. (i) The first part is the sign for SALT CELLAR. This is made with one hand in the shape of curved 5 with palm facing outwards. The hand shakes about three times. (ii) Then the hand changes to the shape of 1 and the index finger touches the lower lip and then moves on to the side whilst the lips crease a little. The second sign uses one hand in the shape of 1. The index finger touches the lower lip whilst the face grimaces. The hand moves down to the side whilst it opens up into the shape of 5 with fingers apart.
