Is-sinjal għal MOGĦŻA jsir bl-id forma ta’ Ċ tmiss taħt il-geddum bil-pala ta’ l-id tħares lejn il-ġenb. Waqt illi s-swaba’ jingħalqu u l-id tifforma ponn, l-id tinżel ’l isfel sas-sider qisu biex tmelles il-baffi tal-mogħża.
Is-sinjal għal TARBIJA jew is-sinjal għal ŻGĦIR jiġi wara s-sinjal għal MOGĦŻA biex jirreferi għall-mogħża żgħira. Is-sinjali għal ŻGĦIR jew is-sinjal għal KBIR, isir minn id waħda bil-forma ta’ 5 bil-pala ‘l isfel. Id-distanza bejn l-art u l-id tindika d-daqs tal-mogħża. Dawn is-sinjali jiġu wara s-sinjal għal MOGĦŻA.
Fil-plural, is-sinjal għal ĦAFNA jiġi wara s-sinjal għal MOGĦŻA. Ġieli ukoll tintuża classifier. F’dan il-każ tintuża l-id fil-forma ta’ V mgħawġa u titpoġġa f’ħafna punti fiż-żona tas-sinjali qisu hemmhekk qed jitqiegħdu ħafna mogħoż.
Meta n-nom MOGĦŻA jkun is-suġġett ta’ verb ta’ moviment, tintuża l-id fil-forma ta’ V mgħawġa bħala classifier u l-id timxi skond l-azzjoni.
The sign for GOAT is made with the hand in the form of Ċ touching the under-chin. The palm faces the side. The hand moves down to the chest as the fingers close and the hand takes on a fist shape. This movement resembles the stroking of the goat’s beard.
The sign for BABY or for SMALL is used after the sign for GOAT to refer to a kid (jew small goat). The sign for SMALL or the sign for LARGE is made with the hand in the shape of 5 with palm facing the ground. The distance between the hand and the ground indicates the size of the goat. These signs are used after the sign for GOAT.
The plural is formed by adding the sign for MANY after the sign for GOAT. A classifier is often used. In this case one or both hands in the shape of curved V is placed at various points in the signing space as though several goats were actually being put into that space.
When the noun GOAT is used as the subject of a verb of movement, the hand in the shape of curved V is used as a classifier and moves accordingly.
