Is-sinjal għal punti tal-kumpass jikkonsisti fis-sekwenza ta’ NSWE flok in-NSEW konvenzjonali. Is-sinjal għandu 4 partijiet li jingħaqdu fil-forma ta’ salib. (i) L-ewwel isir is-sinjal għal TRAMUNTANA. Id waħda tieħu l-forma ta’ N bil-pala tal-id tħares ’il barra. L-id togħla dritt ’l fuq sal-ġenb tal-wiċċ. (ii) Għat-tieni parti jsir is-sinjal għan-NOFSINHAR b’id waħda li tieħu l-forma ta’ ponn jew ta’ S bil-pala tħares ’il barra. L-id tinżel dritt ’l isfel mil-livell tar-ras. (iii) Għat-tielet parti jsir is-sinjal għal PUNENT. L-id ix-xellugija tieħu l-forma ta’ W u timxi bil-pala tħares ’il barra min-nofs għall-ġenb xellugi. (iv) Fl-aħħar isir is-sinjal għal LVANT bl-id il-leminija li tieħu l-forma ta’ E bil-pala tħares ’il barra u timxi min-nofs għall-ġenb tal-lemin.

The sign for the points of the compass consist of the sequence of NSWE rather than the conventional NSEW. The sign has 4 parts that merge into one through the sign for a cross. (i) First, the sign for NORTH is made with one hand in the shape of N with palm facing outwards. The hand moves up to the level of the side of the face. (ii) Then the sign for SOUTH is made with one hand in the shape of a fist or of S with the palm facing outwards. The hand moves straight down from head level. (iii) The third part is the sign for WEST which is made with the left hand that takes the shape for W and moves with the palm facing outwards from the middle front to the left side. (iv) Finally, the sign for EAST is made with the right hand in the shape of E with palm facing outwards. The hand moves from the middle to the right side.
