Is-sinjal għal PAGG għandu żewġ partijiet: (jew i) L-ewwel isir is-sinjal għal KELB, jiġifieri, l-id tieħu l-forma ta’ U wieqfa ma’ ġenb in-ngħas, bil-pala tal-id tħares ’il barra. Iż-żewġt iswaba’ jinżlu dritti ’l isfel mingħajr ma timxi l-id. (jew ii) Imbagħad, id waħda, forma ta’ 5 magħluq, titqiegħed f’linja orizzontali fuq il-moħħ, bil-pala ’l ġewwa, u l-id tinżel quddiem il-wiċċ.
Is-sinjal għal TARBIJA jew is-sinjal għal ŻGĦIR jintużaw wara s-sinjal ta’ PAGG biex jirreferi għall-ġeru. Is-sinjali għal ŻGĦIR u għal KBIR huma magħmulin mill-idejn forma ta’ 5 bl-idejn iħarsu lejn xulxin f’linja vertikali jew djagonali. Id-distanza bejn l-idejn tindika d-daqs tal-pagg.
Fil-plural, is-sinjal għal ĦAFNA jiġi wara s-sinjal għal PAGG. Ġieli ukoll tintuża classifier. F’dan il-każ id waħda jew iż-żewġ idejn jieħdu l-forma ta’ V mgħawġa u jitpoġġew f’ħafna punti fiż-żona tas-sinjali qisu hemmhekk qed jitqiegħdu ħafna klieb.
Meta n-nom PAGG ikun is-suġġett ta’ verb ta’ moviment, l-id forma ta’ V mgħawġa tintuża bħala classifier u timxi skond l-azzjoni indikata.
The sign for PUG is made up of two parts: (jew i) The sign for DOG is made first with the hand in the shape of U upright at the side of the forehead with the palm facing outwards. The two fingers are bent straight over without any hand movement. (jew ii) One hand in the shape of closed 5, lying horizontally with palm inwards, moves down from the top of the forehead down along the face.
The sign for BABY or for SMALL is used after the sign for PUG depending on the sentence to refer to the puppy. The signs for SMALL and BIG are made with two hands in the shape of 5 with palms facing each other in a vertical or diagonal direction. The distance between the hands indicates the relative size of the pug.
The plural is formed by adding the sign for MANY after the sign for PUG. A classifier is often used. In this case, one or both hands take the shape of curved V. They are placed at various points in the signing space as though several dogs were actually being put into that space.
When the noun PUG is used as the subject of a verb of movement, the hand in the shape of curved V is used as a classifier and moves accordingly.
