Is-sinjal għal PARABBOLA magħmul minn tliet partijiet. (i) Fl-ewwel parti jsir is-sinjal għal KTIEB. Iż-żewġ idejn jieħdu l-forma ta’ 5 magħluq u jinfetħu minn ma’ xulxin, jiġifieri minn pala ma’ pala bil-ponot tas-swaba’ jħarsu ’l barra, u jiġu bil-pala tħares ’il fuq waqt li jibqgħu jmissu mill-ġenb tas-swaba’ ż-żgħar. (ii) Fit-tieni parti jsir is-sinjal għal STORJA. Id waħda titqiegħed mimduda bil-pala tħares ’il fuq waqt li l-id l-oħra tieħu l-forma ta’ 1 mimdud u ddur bil-pala tħares ’il ġewwa u l-werrej iħares lejn il-ġenb. (iii) Fit-tielet parti iż-żewġ idejn jieħdu l-forma ta’ 5 milwi bil-pala tħares ’l isfel. L-idejn jitilgħu’il fuq maġenb ir-ras waqt li s-swaba’ jingħalqu.
The sign for PARABLE consists of three parts. (i) In the first part the sign for BOOK is made. Both hands take the shape of closed 5 with palms touching and fingertips pointing outwards. The hands open up such that the palms face upwards whilst the hands touch at the side of the little finger. (ii) The second part is the sign for STORY. One hand lies with the palm facing upwards whilst the other hand takes the shape of 1 lying down and rotates with the palm facing inwards and the index finger pointing to the side. (iii) The third part is made with both hands in the shape of bent 5 with the palms facing downwards. The hands move up to the side of the forehead as the fingers close.
