Is-sinjal għal POSTA għandu żewġ partijiet. (i) L-ewwel isir is-sinjal għal STABBILIMENT. L-idejn jieħdu l-forma ta’ 1 bil-pala tal-id tħares ’il barra. Il-werrej ta’ id imiss mal-werrej tal-id l-oħra. L-idejn jitbiegħdu laġenba u ’l isfel u jiffurmaw linja b’angolu rett. Imbagħad jerġgħu jimxu lejn in-nofs sakemm jiltaqgħu. (ii) It-tieni parti ssir biż-żewġ idejn li jieħdu l-forma ta’ 5 magħluq. Id waħda titqiegħed quddiem bil-pala tħares ’il ġewwa u s-saba’ kbir estiż taħt il-pala. L-id l-oħra tintlewa mill-għekiesi u tinżel għal wara l-id l-oħra u tħaddi bejn il-pala u s-saba’ kbir tal-id l-oħra.
Ġieli ma tintużax l-ewwel parti.
The sign for POST OFFICE has two parts. (i) First the sign for ESTABLISHMENT is made with both hands that take the shape of 1 with the palms facing outwards. The index fingers touch each other and then move to the side and downwards forming a right angle, then back to the middle until the index fingers meet again. (ii) The second part is made with both hands in the shape of closed 5. One hand is placed at the front, palm facing inwards and with the thumb extended below the palm. The other hand is bent at the knuckles and moves down from behind the other hand and passes through the first hand, between palm and thumb.
The first part of the sign is often omitted.
