Is-sinjal għal QAMAR isir b’id waħda bil-pala tal-id tħares ’l barra livell mar-ras. L-id tieħu l-forma ta’ L magħluqa, bil-werrej imiss is-saba’ l-kbir u dawn is-swaba’ jinfetħu għall-forma ta’ L waqt illi l-id tinżel f’linja kurva lejn il-ġenb fl-istess ħin. Imbagħad, l-id tkompli timxi ’l isfel lejn in-nofs waqt li s-swaba’ jerġgħu jingħalqu. Bil-moviment mill-bidu sa’ l-aħħar issir il-forma ta’ fellu tal-qamar.
The sign for MOON is made with one hand with palm facing outwards at head level. The hand takes the shape of closed L with the index finger touching the thumb. The fingers open up to form the shape of open L whilst the hand moves down to the side. Subsequently, the hand moves down towards the centre as the fingers close again. The whole movement results in the shape of a quarter moon.
