Is-sinjal għal RAMEL isir biż-żewġ idejn li jieħdu l-forma ta’ 5 imma bis-saba’ l-kbir imiss mas-swaba’ l-oħra u bil-pala tal-id tħares ’l isfel. Il-ponot tas-swaba’ jogħrku lil xulxin u fl-istess ħin l-idejn jitilgħu ’il fuq fil-ġnub.

The sign for SAND is made with both hands that take the shape of 5 but with the thumb touching the other fingers and the palm facing downwards. The fingertips rub against each other whilst the hands move upwards at the sides.
The sign is often made with one hand.
