Hemm żewġ sinjali differenti għal RUSSJA. Fl-ewwel sinjal iż-żewġ idejn jieħdu l-forma ta’ 5 jew ta’ Y bis-saba’ l-kbir stirat ’il barra. L-idejn jolqtu l-ġenb tal-qadd. Dan ifakkar fiż-żeffiena Russi.

Fit-tieni sinjal, id waħda tieħu l-forma ta’ 1 u l-werrej jimxi minn naħa għall-oħra jmiss taħt ix-xoffa imbagħad jagħti skoss ’il barra.

Hemm varjazzjoni oħra. Id waħda tieħu l-forma ta’ T u, bil-pala ta’ l-id tħares ’il barra, timxi minn post fil-ġenb taż-żona tas-sinjali u ddur lura għan-nofs quddiem is-sider bil-pala ta’ l-id tħares ’il ġewwa qisu qed iżomm bandiera jew xabla.

There are two different signs for RUSSIA. For the first sign both hands take the shape of 5 or of Y with the thumb stretched out. The hands strike the side of the waist. This is a reminder of the Russian dancers.

For the second sign, one hand takes the shape of 1 and the index finger moves from one side to the other touching under the lips and then moves jerkily outwards.

There is a variation where one hand takes the shape of T with palm facing outwards and moves from the side end of the signing space back to the middle of the chest with palm facing inwards as though holding a flag or a sword.
