Hemm żewġ sinjali għal SALAMI. L-ewwel sinjal isir bl-idejn li jibdew forma ta’ ponn. Id waħda tieqaf fuq quddiem bil-pala tħares ’l isfel. L-id l-oħra tibda lejn il-ġenb bil-pala tħares ’il barra. L-id tinbidel fil-forma ta’ 5 waqt li tersaq lejn l-id il-wieqfa waqt illi l-pala tħares lejn il-ġenb u tinżel man-naħa tas-saba’ l-kbir tal-ponn il-wieqaf xi tlett darbiet jew iktar. It- tieni sinjal għandu żewġ partijiet ukoll. (i) L-ewwel parti ssir biż-żewġ idejn forma ta’ C jiltaqgħu fuq quddiem bil-pala ta’ id tħares lejn l-oħra. (ii) Imbagħad, id waħda tibqa’ wieqfa forma ta’ C waqt li l-oħra tieħu l-forma ta’ 5 bil-pala tħares lejn il-ġenb u tinżel bl-iskossi xi drabi waqt li timxi minn ħdejn l-id il-wieqfa lejn il-ġenb.
There are two signs for SALAMI. The first sign is made with the hands in the shape of a fist. One hand is held stationary at the front with palm facing downwards. The other hand starts at the side with palm facing outwards. The hand changes to the shape of 5 whilst it moves towards the stationary hand whilst the palm faces the side and moves down along the thumb side of the stationary palm three or more times. The second sign also has two parts. (i) First both hands take the shape of C and meet at the front with palms facing each other. (ii) Then, one hand remains stationary in the shape of C whilst the other hand takes the shape of 5 with palm facing the side and moves down abruptly a few times whilst the hand moves along towards the side.
