Is-sinjal magħmul minn-żewġ partijiet. (i) Fl-ewwel parti jsir is-sinjal għal ĦAŻIN. Id waħda tieħu l-forma ta’ I bil-pala tħares lejn il-ġenb jew ’il ġewwa. L-id togħla livell mal-għonq. (ii) Fit-tieni parti jsir sinjal għal XITAN. Dan isir b’id waħda li tieħu l-forma ta’ qrun, jiġifieri bil-werrej u s-saba’ ż-żgħir maħruġin ’il barra u bis-swaba’ l-oħra magħluqin. L-id tinżel ’l isfel mill-qadd bil-pala tal-id tħares ’il ġewwa. L-espressjoni tal-wiċċ tindika stmerrija permezz tat-tikmix tal-ħuġbejn.
The sign for CURSE consists of two parts. (i) The first part is that for EVIL. One hand takes the shape of 1 with palm facing sideways or inwards. The hand moves up to neck level down. (ii) The second part is the sign for DEVIL. This is made with one hand in the shape of a horn, that is, with the index and small fingers outstretched and the other fingers closed. The palm faces outwards. The hand moves down below the waist with palm facing inwards. The facial expression is one of disgust through the wrinkling of the eyebrows.
