There are two signs for DEFY. They are very recent signs. The first sign is made with both hands in the shape of 1. One index finger is placed below one eye. The other index finger is placed below the other eye and quickly moves to the side. This sign is used to refer to a Deaf person’s defiance. The second sign is also made with the hands in the shape of 1. One index finger is placed over one ear. The other index finger is placed over the other ear and then quickly moves to the side. This sign is used to refer to a hearing person’s defiance.
