Is-sinjal għal SHOTPUT isir b’id waħda li tieħu l-forma ta’ 5 kkurvata u bis-swaba’ mifrudin qisha qed iżżomm oġġett sostanzjali tond. L-id titqiegħed livell tar-ras, fil-ġenb, l-ispalla tersaq ftit ’il quddiem waqt li l-id tagħti skoss kbir ’il quddiem ħafna waqt li s-swaba’ jinfetħu. Matul is-sinjal, l-espressjoni hi ta’ konċentrazzjoni bil-ħuġbejn ftit imkemmxin.
The sign for SHOTPUT is made with one hand that takes the shape of curved 5 with fingers apart as though holding a substantial, round object. The hand is placed at the side, at head level, the shoulder moves forward slightly whilst the hand makes a big jerky movement very much to the front whilst the fingers open apart. The sign is accompanied by a look of concentration with frowning eyebrows.
