Is-sinjal għal SKANDLU magħmul minn żewġ partijiet. (i) Fl-ewwel parti id waħda tieħu l-forma ta’ 5 miftuħ bil-pala tħares ’il ġewwa. L-id tixxejjer ’il fuq u ’l isfel waqt li l-wiċċ jesprimi stmellija bl-għajnejn iħarsu ’l isfel, il-ħuġbejn imkemmxin u l-ħalq ittundjat forma ta’ O. (ii) Fit-tieni parti jsir is-sinjal għal ĦAŻIN b’id waħda li tieħu l-forma ta’ I bil-pala tħares lejn il-ġenb. L-id tinżel mill-minkeb, minn pożizzjoni livell mal-għonq, ’l isfel u ’il quddiem biex timtedd u s-saba’ ż-żgħir jiġi jħares ’il barra. L-espressjoni ta’ stmellija tkompli sakemm jispiċċa s-sinjal kollu.
The sign for SCANDAL consists of two parts. (i) In the first part one hand takes the shape of open 5 with the palm facing inwards. The hand shakes up and down whilst the facial expression is that of disgust, with the eyes looking down, wrinkled brows and the mouth in the shape of O. (ii) In the second part the sign for EVIL is made. One hand takes the shape of 1 with palm facing sideways. The hand moves at the elbow from neck level down and forward to lie such that the small finger points outwards. The disgusted expression is used till the sign is completed.
