Hemm żewġ sinjali differenti għal SKORPJUN. L-ewwel sinjal isir biż-żewġ idejn. Id waħda tieħu l-forma ta’ 5 kemm kemm ikkurvata bil-pala tħares ’l isfel. L-id l-oħra tieħu l-forma ta’ X u titqiegħed bil-pala tħares ’l isfel fuq il-polz tal-ewwel id. L-idejn jimxu ftit ’il quddiem flimkien bis-swaba’ tal-ewwel id iperpru ftit. Fl-aħħar is-saba’ tal-X jinżel bi skoss ’l isfel.
It-tieni sinjal magħmul minn żewġ partijiet: (jew i) Fl-ewwel parti l-idejn joqogħdu ’l quddiem bil-pala ta’ id tħares lejn l-oħra bil-forma ta’ L mgħawġa. Is-saba’ l-kbir u l-werrej jinfetħu u jingħalqu. (jew ii) Fit-tieni parti, id waħda timxi ’l fuq minn wara r-ras waqt li żżomm l-istess forma ta’ L mgħawġa u tingħalaq.
Is-sinjal għal SKORPJUN żgħir jew kbir isir bis-sinjal għal SKORPJUN u s-sinjal għal ŻGĦIR jew għal KBIR magħmul b’żewġ idejn forma ta’ Ċ magħluqa. Id-distanza bejn l-idejn tindika d-daqs ta’ l-iskorpjun.

Is-sinjal għal ĦAFNA jintuża wara s-sinjal għal SKORPJUN. Ġieli jintuża classifier, jiġifieri, id waħda jew iż-żewġ idejn forma ta’ V mgħawġa jitpoġġew f’punti differenti fiż-żona tas-sinjali, qisu hemmhekk qed jitqiegħdu ħafna skorpjuni.
Meta n-nom SKORPJUN ikun is-suġġett ta’ verb ta’ movement, l-id forma ta’ V mgħawġa tintuża bħala classifier u timxi skond il-moviment tal-verb.
There are two different signs for SCORPION. The first sign is made with both hands. One hand takes the shape of slightly curved 5 with the palm facing downwards. The other hand takes the shape of X and is placed over the wrist of the first hand with the palm facing downwards. The hands move a little forward together with the fingers of the first hand fluttering. At the end the X finger makes an abrupt movement downwards.
The second sign is made up of two parts. (jew i) In the first part, the hands are in the shape of curved L, (jew at the front), with palms facing each other. The thumb and index fingers open and close. (jew ii) In the second part, one hand still in the curved L shape moves to the top back of the head and the fingers close as the hand moves up.
The sign for a small or a big scorpion is the sign for SCORPION followed by the sign for SMALL or BIG made with the two closed C shaped hands. The distance between the hands indicates the size of the scorpion.
The sign for MANY is used after the sign for SCORPION to indicate plurality. A classifier is sometimes used: one or both hands in the curved V shape are placed at various points in the signing space as though several scorpions were being placed there.
When the noun SCORPION is the subject of a verb of movement the curved V shaped hand is used as a classifier and the hand moves accordingly.
