Is-sinjal għal SKRIVAN(A) għandu żewġ partijiet. (i) L-ewwel isir is-sinjal għal KITEB, jiġifieri, id waħda tieħu l-forma ta’ 5 magħluq u titqiegħed wieqfa ’l quddiem bil-pala tħares ’il fuq. L-id l-oħra tieħu l-forma tixbaħ dik għal T u timxi minn naħa għall-oħra tal-pala wieqfa qisha qed tikteb fuqha. (ii) Għat-tieni parti jsir is-sinjal għal PERSUNA. Id waħda tieħu l-forma ta’ Ċ magħluqa bil-pala tħares ’il barra. L-id tinżel dritt ’l isfel fil-ġenb.
The sign for CLERK consists of two parts. (i) First, the sign for WRITE is made. One hand takes the shape of closed 5 and is held stationary at the front with the palm facing upwards. The other hand takes a shape resembling that for T and moves along the palm as though writing on it. (ii) The second part is the sign for PERSON. One hand takes the shape of closed C with palm facing outwards. The hand moves straight down at the side.
