Is-sinjal għal SKRIVANIJA għandu żewġ partijiet. (i) L-ewwel isir is-sinjal għal MEJDA bl-idejn forma ta’ 5 ħdejn xulxin fin-nofs fuq quddiem bil-pala tħares ’l isfel. L-idejn jimxu lejn il-ġnub, iduru biex pala ta’ id tħares lejn l-oħra, u jibqgħu neżlin ’l isfel. (ii) Imbagħad isir is-sinjal għal KITEB. Id waħda tieħu l-forma ta’ 5 u tieqaf fuq quddiem bil-pala tħares ’il fuq. L-id l-oħra tieħu l-forma ta’ T u tifforma linji kkurvati żgħar ftit ’il fuq mill-id il-wieqfa u tibqa’ sejra sal-ġenb.
The sign for DESK has two parts. (i) First the sign for TABLE is made with both hands next to each other in the shape of 5 at the front in the middle and with palms facing downwards. The hands move towards the sides, turn so that palms face each other, and then continue moving downwards. (ii) Then the sign for WRITE is made. One hand takes the shape of 5 and is held stationary at the front with palm facing upwards. The other hand takes the shape of T and forms curved lines a little above the stationary hand and continues to the side.
