Hemm żewġ sinjali differenti għal SPANJA. L-ewwel sinjal isir biż-żewġ idejn. L-idejn jieħdu l-forma ta’ F jew ta’ X bil-werrej imiss mas-saba’ l-kbir u bil-pala ta’ l-id tħares ’il ġewwa. Id waħda titqiegħed quddiem in-naħa l-oħra tal-qadd u l-id l-oħra toħroġ fil-ġenb. Waqt li jżommu l-istess forma, l-idejn jintlwew mill-polz biex il-pala tiġi tħares ’l isfel. Dan il-moviment ifakkar fit-tixjir taċ-ċarruta ħamra lejn il-barri mill-matador Spanjol.
It-tieni sinjal isir b’id waħda li tieħu l-forma ta’ T (ponn laxk imma bis-saba’ l-kbir maħruġ fuq il-werrej). L-id titqiegħed taħt l-ispalla l-oħra bil-pala tħares ’il ġewwa, tinżel kemm kemm waqt li tfarfar ma’ taħt l-ispalla, ddur ’il barra mill-polz, u terġa lura tolqot taħt l-ispalla ħafif ħafif waqt illi l-pala tiġi tħares ’l isfel.
There are two different signs for SPAIN. The first sign is made with both hands. The hands take the shape of F or of X with the index finger touching the thumb and the palm facing inwards. One hand is placed in front at waist level on the other side. The other hand is placed out at the side. The hands twist at the wrist so that the palm faces downwards whilst the handshape stays the same. This movement reminds one of the Spanish matador shaking the red rag to the bull.
The second sign is made with one hand that takes the shape of T (a loose fist but with the thumb resting on the index finger). The hand is placed below the other shoulder with the palm facing inwards, then moves down slightly as it brushes below the shoulder and turns outwards at the wrist, hitting against it lightly and the palm then faces downwards.
