Is-sinjal għal TORTELLINI għandu żewġ partijiet. (i) L-ewwel isir is-sinjal imqassar għal GĦAĠIN. Id waħda tieħu l-forma ta’ 5 u titqiegħed bil-pala tħares djagonalment lejn il-ġenb waqt li l-id l-oħra tieħu l-forma ta’ V bil-ponot tas-swaba’ jħarsu lejn l-ewwel id. Is-swaba’ tal-V jduru ’l ġewwa u ’l barra. (ii) Imbagħad id waħda tagħmel il-forma ta’ F imma bis-saba’ l-kbir u l-werrej jiffurmaw ċirku u bis-swaba’ l-oħra mifrudin. L-id titqiegħed fil-ġenb fil-għoli bil-pala tħares ’il barra.
The sign for TORTELLINI has two parts. (i) First the shortened sign for PASTA is made. One hand takes the shape of 5 and is held stationary with palm facing sideways diagonally whilst the other hand takes the shape of V with fingertips pointing towards the stationary hand. The V fingers turn inwards and outwards. (ii) Then one hand takes the shape for F but with the thumb and index finger forming a circle and with the other fingers apart. The hand is placed high up at the side with palm facing outwards.
