The sign for TRANSLATOR has two parts. (i) First, both hands take the shape of closed 5. One hand is held stationary with the palm facing upwards whilst the other hand moves down over the stationary hand with the palm facing upwards. It then turns over so that the palm faces downwards on the stationary hand. The hand moves over again once or more. (ii) Then both hands take the shape of L whilst they move round so that the palms face outwards and the index finger points upwards. The hands move in a straight line to the sides.
