Is-sinjal għal XARABANK għandu żewġ partijiet. (i) L-ewwel parti hi s-sinjal għal KAROZZA li jsir biż-żewġ idejn li jieħdu l-forma ta’ ponn fuq quddiem bil-pala tal-id tħares ’il ġewwa jew laġenba. L-idejn jitilgħu u jinżlu ftit laġenba. (ii) It-tieni parti ssir b’id waħda li tieħu l-forma ta’ ponn jew ta’ A, bil-pala tal-id tħares laġenba ħdejn il-wiċċ qisha qed iżżomm iċ-cinga għall-passiġġiera weqfin fix-xarabank.
Kultant l-id tieħu l-forma ta’ V mgħawġa flok ta’ A. Ħafna persuni Deaf igħidu li l-forma tal-id m’għandhiex tkun dik ta’ V mgħawġa għax inkella tkun qed tagħmel is-sinjal għal TOJLIT. Fir-realtà nsibu din il-forma użata għal XARABANK ukoll meta ma jkunx hemm kuntest ambigwu.
The sign for BUS consists of two parts. (i) First the sign for CAR is made with both hands in the shape of a fist in front of the chest, with palm facing inwards or sideways. The hands move up and down a little to the side as in driving. (ii) The second part is made with one hand also in the shape of a fist or of A, but with palm facing sideways near the face as though holding the strap for standing passengers in the bus.
Sometimes the curved V handshape is used in the second part instead of the A handshape. This is considered to be incorrect by some Maltese Deaf as it would make the second part of the sign equivalent to that for TOILET. However, in reality we find this handshape often used for BUS when there is no chance of ambiguity.
