Hemm żewġ sinjali għal XITAN. L-ewwel sinjal isir b’id waħda li tieħu l-forma ta’ qrun, jiġifieri bil-werrej u s-saba’ ż-żgħir maħruġin ’il barra u bis-swaba’ l-oħra magħluqin. Il-ponot tas-swaba’ jħarsu ’l isfel u l-pala tħares ’il ġewwa. L-id tagħmel pass ċkejken ’l isfel darbtejn. It-tieni sinjal isir ukoll bl-istess forma tal-id. Imma l-id titqiegħed fuq in-nofs tal-ġbin bil-pala tħares ’il barra. L-id tagħti skoss ħafif darbtejn fuq il-ġbin.
There are two signs for DEVIL. The first sign is made with one hand in the shape of a horn, that is, with the index and small fingers outstretched and the other fingers closed. The fingertips point downwards and the palm faces inwards. The hand moves slightly downwards twice. The second sign is made with the hand in the same shape. However, the hand is placed upwards and the palm facing outwards on the forehead. The hand moves jerkily twice on the forehead.
