Hemm żewġ sinjali jixxiebħu għal ĊINJA. L-ewwel sinjal isir biż-żewġ idejn. Id waħda timtedd bil-pala tħares ’l isfel waqt li l-id l-oħra tieħu l-forma ta’ 5 milwi mill-għaksa u tistrieħ mill-minkeb fuq il-wiċċ tal-id l-oħra bil-pala tħares ’il barra. Imbagħad, l-id wieqfa ddur bil-mod f’din il-pożizzjoni bil-minkeb wieqaf .

It-tieni sinjal jixbaħ l-ewwel sinjal imma, flok ma l-id wieqfa iddur bil-mod f’din il-pożizzjoni bil-minkeb wieqaf, timxi mill-minkeb fuq id-driegħ wieqaf tal-ewwel id.

Għal ċinja żgħira jew kbira, l-ewwel jsir is-sinjal għal ĊINJA imbagħad isir is-sinjal għal ŻGĦIR jew is-sinjal għal KBIR. Is-sinjal għal ŻGĦIR u għal KBIR isir bl-idejn li jieħdu l-forma ta’ 5 u jħarsu lejn xulxin f’linja vertikali. Id-distanza ta’ bejn l-idejn tindika d-daqs taċ-ċinja.

Għall-plural is-sinjal għal ĦAFNA jintuża wara is-sinjal għal ĊINJA. Ġieli ukoll tintuża classifier. F’dan il-każ tintuża l-id li tieħu l-forma ta’ V mgħawġa u titpoġġa f’ħafna punti fiż-żona tas-sinjali qisu hemmhekk qed jitqiegħdu ħafna ċinji.

Meta n-nom ĊINJA jkun is-suġġett ta’ verb ta’ moviment, l-id tieħu l-forma ta’ V mgħawġa, tintuża bħala classifier u timxi skond l-azzjoni.

There are two very similar signs for SWAN. The first sign is made with both hands. One hand lies with palm facing downwards whilst the other hand takes the shape of 5 bent at the knuckles and rests with the elbow on the surface of the other arm. The hand rotates slowly in this upright position with the elbow in the same place.

The second sign is very similar. However, instead of rotating slowly in this upright position the elbow of the upright hand glides along the first stationary arm.

The sign for a small or large swan is the sign for SWAN followed by the sign for SMALL or for BIG. The signs for SMALL and for BIG are made with the hands in the shape of 5 and palms facing in a vertical direction. The distance between the hands indicates the size of the swan.

The sign for MANY is used after the sign for SWAN to signal plurality. A classifier is often used. In this case one or both hands in the shape of curved V are placed at various points in the signing space as though several swans were actually being put into that space.

When the noun SWAN is the subject of a verb of movement, one hand in the shape of curved V is used as the classifier, moving according to the action indicated by the verb.
