Hemm żewġ sinjali differenti għal ĊIPRU. L-ewwel sinjal isir b’id waħda forma ta’ Q quddiem il-ħalq, bil-pala tħares ’l isfel. L-id timxi lura imissu l-ġenb tal-wiċċ u ’l fuq mar-ras sakemm tiġi man-ngħas u s-swaba’ tal-Q jiltaqgħu.
It-tieni sinjal isir biż-żewġ idejn. Id waħda tieqaf bil-forma ta’ Ċ bil-pala ta’ l-id tħares ’l isfel. Is-saba’ ż-żgħir u l-werrej tal-id l-oħra jiltaqgħu mas-saba’ ż-żgħir u l-werrej ta’ l-id il-wieqfa. L-id ta’ fuq titla’ l-fuq f’linja djagonali u tiġi livell mar-ras u bil-pala tħares ’il barra.
There are two different signs for CYPRUS. The first sign is made with one hand, in the shape of Q, in front of the mouth, palm facing downwards. The hand moves back to the side of the face and up along the side of the head until it reaches the side of the forehead and the Q fingers meet.
The second sign is made with one hand held stationary in the form of Ċ with palms facing the side. The thumb and the index finger of the other hand meet the thumb and index finger of the stationary hand. The second hand moves up diagonally to head level.
