Hemm żewġ sinjali għal ĠURNALIST, wieħed għal ġurnalist li jirrapporta bil-kitba u ieħor għal dak li jirrapporta bil-mitkellem. L-ewwel sinjal għandu żewġ partijiet. (i) L-ewwel isir is-sinjal għal KITEB. Dan isir biż-żewġ idejn. Id waħda tieqaf forma ta’ 5 magħluqa bil-pala tħares ’il fuq. L-id l-oħra tieħu l-forma ta’ T bil-pala tħares ’isfel u bis-saba’ l-kbir u l-werrej jiffurmaw ċirku. Din l-id timxi minn naħa għall-oħra tal-pala tal-id il-wieqfa. (ii) It-tieni parti hija s-sinjal għal GAZZETTA li jsir bl-idejn forma ta’ T bl-idejn ħdejn xulxin fin-nofs. L-idejn jimxu ftit ’il ġewwa u mbagħad lejn il-ġnub biex il-pala tispiċċa tħares ’il ġewwa. It-tieni sinjal għandu żewġ partijiet ukoll. (i) L-ewwel, id waħda tieħu l-forma ta’ T quddiem il-ħalq u timxi dritt ’il quddiem, terġa lura lejn il-ħalq u lura ’l quddiem. (ii) Imbagħad isir is-sinjal għal KITEB bħall-ewwel parti tal-ewwel sinjal.

There are two signs for JOURNALIST, one for a newspaper journalist and the other for a TV or Radio journalist. The first sign has two parts. (i) First, the sign for WRITE is made with both hands. One hand is held stationary in the shape of closed 5 with the palm facing upwards. The other hand takes the shape of T with palm facing downwards and with the thumb and index finger forming a circle. This hand moves from one side to the other of the palm of the stationary hand. (ii) The second part is the sign for NEWSPAPER which is made with both hands in the shape of T next to each other at the front. The hands move a little inwards and then towards the sides so that the palm ends up facing inwards. The second sign also has two parts. (i) First, one hand takes the shape of T in front of the mouth and moves straight aħead, then back to the mouth and finally back to the front. (ii) Then the sign for WRITE is made as in the first part of the first sign.
