Is-sinjal għal ĦAWAII isir biż-żewġ idejn li jieħdu l-forma ta’ 5 bil-pala ta’ l-id tħares ’l isfel. L-idejn jitfarfru ħafif ħafif fuq ġenb wieħed fil-livell tal-qadd. Dan ifakkar fid-dublett tal-ħajt maħlul tal-Ħawaii.
The sign for HAWAII is made with two hands in the shape of 5 with palms facing downwards. The hands flutter lightly at one side at waist level. This reminds one of the Hawaiian skirts made of reeds of loose threads.
