This sign is made with the lower arms lying forward almost in horizontal position. The hands are in the T shape with palms facing the body. The hands move up and down as though in synchrony with the horse’s reins that move along with the horse.
To refer to a small or large horse, the signs for SMALL and BIG are made with one hand in the shape of 5, palm down, after the sign for HORSE. The distance between the ground and the hand indicates the relative size of the horse.
The sign for MANY is used after the sign for HORSE to express the plural. A classifier is often used. In this case one hand in the shape of curved V is placed at various points in the signing space as though several horses were actually being put into that space.
When the noun HORSE is the subject of a verb of movement, one hand in the shape of curved V is used as the classifier, moving according to the action indicated by the verb.
